It's Someone's Birthday!!!

Today is my mom's birthday! I won't tell you how old she is because she might not like that. You can actually go wish her happy birthday yourself if you go to Thirty-One Trendy Totes She just got a blog and it would just make her day if you just stopped over and said hi!

stylish earmuffs

So I found the cutest earmuffs at a girl and a glue gun and I knew I had to make some! I really hat cold weather I mean really hat! I can handle hot weather so much better! I kept going outside and my poor ears would just freeze! I put my hood up...and it would just blow down because it is so windy. And I am not even about to put on some wool hat because my hair has so much static in it without a hat...but I knew I had to do something so one I came across these earmuffs I knew this was just the thing and I was so excited because I already had all the materials to make it!

Valentine Decor

Here is my Valentine Decor for my apartment. I figured out how to put it in a cute little collage that I have seen so much of on other people's blogs. The picture frame with the letters DSK stand for me and my husband's initials. I didn't want to get wooden blocks for the letters so instead I decided to just use a dicut on paper and was pretty surprised that it worked. I wrapped red and white yarn around the letters put some scrapbook paper of the frame and tapped the letters on! I got the idea from another blog called let birds fly. They were so cute I just had to make them! I think I will make them again when I will have them be up for a longer time and use yarn that matches my living room and use wooden letters so it is a little more sturdy.

Valentine's day mantel

Sorry I haven't posted anything for awhile I have been helping my mom make her blog and decorating it and trying to get her followers! I have my bookshelf all decorated for Valentines day (I really wish I had a mantel but I will take what I can get) and I need to take pictures of it. Since it is dark out I think I will wait until tomorrow. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of it because I was working on making my ear muffs which turned out so cute! (I will also have a picture of those posted tomorrow!)

Lace Flower Earrings

Over at Trey and Lucy there are some really cute lace trim earrings. Since they are so adorable I couldn't resist making my own since I have quite a bit of lace.

Homemade Subway Art

Yeah I know more Subway Art...but this one is different, there are no free printables. That is because I made my own. I used words from books to make this. I used a dicut to make the letters to spell kiss and then I just looked through a book to either find the word kiss, what reminded me of a kiss, or what I felt when I have kissed. It was more time consuming but I didn't mind because it is words that I want to say.
