Homemade Subway Art

Yeah I know more Subway Art...but this one is different, there are no free printables. That is because I made my own. I used words from books to make this. I used a dicut to make the letters to spell kiss and then I just looked through a book to either find the word kiss, what reminded me of a kiss, or what I felt when I have kissed. It was more time consuming but I didn't mind because it is words that I want to say.

My New Purse

With all of the Valentine's projects that I have made and that are out there I wanted to do an anti valentine project. I spiced up an old purse a little bit. I really didn't like how it looked like before so I decided to add a little something to it.

What do you think? It looks like vintage.

Flower Balls

I really wanted to do something with some flowers I had. I didn't really like them so I decided to cut the petals from the flower and hot glue them to a bouncy ball. I think I am going to either put them in a little vase or hang them from my little Valentine's day tree...what do you think I should do?

Words About Me

I am organized, I don't like it when things are just laying around and not in the place that they should be

My biggest pet peeve is when someone leaves an empty container in the pantry

I hate cottage cheese, it makes me gag

I can't wear socks to bed if I have them on I have to kick them off before I can sleep

I am going to be a preschool special education teacher someday, I love kids

I can't wait to have kids! It drives me crazy that all of my classes talk about babies since I am a Child Development major, but I wouldn't change majors for the world

I love Chick Flicks! Hands down my favorite movie category

I can't go to sleep unless it is completely dark, if my phone is plugged in I have to turn it over to be able to get to sleep

I absolutely hate coffee and I always will even though everyone keeps telling me I will by the time I finish college, however I could drink hot chocolate every day!

My favorite animal is a dolphin, I wanted to be a dolphin trainer or rescue dolphins but I couldn't stand the chemistry that came with the major. I was able to pet a dolphin and feed it at Sea World, one of the highlights of my life

I can't stand math it is by far my worst subject, thankfully I never have to take another math class in my life! My husband will be the one helping our kids with math homework

I love reading

I almost drowned in the Atlantic Ocean because I got caught in a rip tide and if it weren't for my dad and my cousins I wouldn't be alive today

I love the snow, I hate walking/driving in it but I just love sitting by the window with a cup of hot cocoa and watching snow flakes fall down

I love dogs they are my favorite pet!I had three total growing up and my family just got another one. They were a Basset Hound, Chocolate Lab, Black Lab, and now they have a Boxer.

I have one sister and we are really close I love her a lot!

I have an amazing family, I love them so much and they are a huge part of my life!

I have such a wonderful husband I am truly blessed he is everything I could ever ask for and more!

Valentine's Carry-Out Container Topiary

I found this cute heart carry out container in my closet and I have no idea where it came from but I knew I had to use it. I thought maybe I could just put some candy or treats in it but I thought it would look cute as the base of a mini topiary. What I love most is that instead of spending money on a foam ball I used a wadded up ball of newspaper.

Decided to mess around with fotoflexer since I haven't really seen what you can do with it and I am impressed! I knew there was a way to get rid of the background image but I didn't know how! I am glad I figured it out! I still need a little work on it though

Felt Flower Necklace

For this project I combined two awesome projects that I have found online recently. One of them I found from Little Treasures and the other one I found from I Am Momma Hear Me Roar
The materials you will need are:
Wire from a bra
Felt
Ribbon
Pearls
Hot glue gun

Something You Can Do With Walnuts

I saw this blog at Living Crafts and it is just really neat. They are Walnut votives. This could be a cute winter decor with some white flower petals! I am definitely going to do this. I have walnut shells, candle wax and petals. You can even incorporate this into your Valentine's day decor if you have red candle wax or red petals.

Valentine Words

I found these cute little wood pieces at a garage sale and I decided to decorate the backs of them with words and hearts cut out from magazines. I think they turned out pretty cute. I don't know where I will put them yet I guess just around my apartment. I want to put them on those letter holders for the Scrabble game but I realized I left my Scrabble game at my Parent's house so I am going to have my family bring it to me when I see them tomorrow at my cousin's dedication.

Cute Upcycle craft

I was over at takens-tidbits and she has an adorable tut on how to upcycle your old watches. Check her tutorial out it is super good!

Felt Hearts

I decided to make some felt hearts and sew them together and write Valentine's Day words on them. I also stuffed them with plastic Walmart bags because I don't want to just throw plastic bags away. Here is what I have so far.

Valentine's Projects For Kids

When I was in preschool I remember using a plastic needle and sewing yarn through felt and different types of materials. Unfortunately that didn't make me a sewing pro. Any ways I had a pink tshirt that I didn't wear anymore so I decided to cut hearts out of it and sew thread through the templates. It would be a fun craft you could do with your kids for Valentine's Day.
